If the water pump is not working or run dry not producing the water, These are the things which can be possibly checked for your existing plumbing components.
- Verify that the existing water pump equipment is operating properly
- Ensure that you don’t have any leaks. Perhaps consider installing your own water meter(s) to ensure you can find water leaks quickly. Leaks add up very quickly and deplete available water so it isn’t available when needed.
- Review additional demands that have been placed on your Water Pump system since it was originally installed. Is it being asked to pump more water was originally? Is the system being asked to deliver water to a place higher than originally planned for. If demands have increased, it is often possible for a storage tank and booster pump to be installed to extend the abilities of your existing Booster and submersible Water pump.
- Have a Water Pump test performed on the Water Tank to establish what the actual pressure is. Compare the old water pump to the new one is this the same capacity capacity as the old one, does the water from this well have iron, manganese or other minerals that have built up in the well casing and gravel pack? Ask your water pump contractor if cleaning the valve’s would help restore the original water pressure.
- Check the water tank there must be a possibility that the water tank is empty, if the founded empty then check the water supply to the tank, check the float valve installed inside the tank.
- Check the foot valve installed underneath the suction line, it might be leaking water water and making the suction empty.
These all the above reasons could be the reason that the water is not coming to the home or pump is running dry.
